Poor spotty Jean… (by alaric)
Jean seems to have yet another case of chicken pox - the third one since the flood...
Oh well. At least it's the weekend so I don't need to be working, and can sit with her in her bedroom and play with cars and watch films all day while Sarah does the gardening and continues to work on sorting the house out... I think I've got the easy side of this...

Stupid question I'm sure, but you have had it confirmed that these have all been chicken pox? It's very rare to get it more than once let alone three times. Could it be an allergy instead?

Her Monkey Dave (Uncle David) had chicken pox three times until he had it as thickly on his head as Jean has. But her Nan who stayed with her siblings when they had it and nursed Sarah and David when they had hasn't had chicken pox at all. I therefore suspect that this has something to do with Jean and David having mildly twice and then heavily as the final dose. Well that's my theory.
Can anyone else shed light on why?

Its not rare to have it more than once - the nursery where very clear on this as Alaric was concerned it wasnt chicken pox - the nhs guidlines is that you dont bother the drs except in special cases - ie complications/ a really young baby etc.... We have however booked a drs appointment for Tues as I don't like the fact she keeps getting it and think it needs to be looked at.
