I will turn thirty on Saturday the fourth of April 2009...
...and what better theme for a thirtieth birthday than Logan's Run?
Logan's Run is a 1976 science fiction film based on the novel of the same name by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson. It depicts a dystopian future society in which population and the consumption of resources are managed and maintained in equilibrium by the simple expediency of killing everyone who reaches the age of thirty, thus avoiding the issue of overpopulation. The story follows the actions of Logan 5, a "Sandman," as he "runs" from society's lethal demand.

You are cordially invited to our home for the weekend of the fourth of April. Dressing up in Logan's Run costumes is encouraged but not required; however, I will make you all glowing hand-crystals indicating your stage of life! Under 10s get a green one, 10-20s get a yellow one, 20-30s get a red one, and those of us thirty or over will receive a flashing red one, marking us for termination if we don't report to Carousel for vapourisation...
If you can come, please fill in the below form, so I know how many to make in each colour:
Please bring along something to eat or drink if you can - our culinary resources may be stretched!
